Four Seasons Langkawi (MUV)
Langkawi
For Four Seasons Langkawi, BYO Living developed bespoke woven elements inspired by Langkawi’s natural landscape and cultural heritage. The project includes a handwoven ceiling for the living room and a custom headboard for the master suite, combining organic forms and batik-inspired motifs. Each piece was developed through close collaboration between design references, pattern development, and handcrafting.

The Challenges
The project involved evolving specifications, multiple design revisions, and shifting timelines. Each pattern and structural detail needed to be refined while maintaining the original design intent and ensuring it could be translated into a fully handcrafted piece.

A symmetrical geometric pattern inspired by batik motifs, combining layered diamonds, stepped lines, and rhythmic details. The composition translates cultural references into a contemporary handwoven expression.

The Solutions
BYO Living approached the project through an iterative R&D process, developing patterns through sketches, weaving trials, structural refinements, and design approvals. The process allowed the team to respond to technical requirements and changes while maintaining precision in both the weaving and overall construction.
