Escalier Bali combines contemporary retail design with a natural material expression through BYO Living’s hand-woven rattan installation. The weaving pattern enhances the geometric character of the space, while the natural texture of rattan introduces a raw, tactile quality. The combination of grid and mirage patterns creates visual rhythm across the ceiling and wall panels.

The Challenges
Enveloping the store with rattan ceiling and wall panels required a high degree of precision. Each panel had to be fitted individually around its frame, while maintaining consistency in the pattern and alignment across different surfaces.
A structured grid weaving of natural rattan, creating a rhythmic geometric surface with a warm and tactile character.
The Solutions
BYO Living developed the weaving patterns to work within the individual frames, combining structured grid weaving with the more dynamic mirage pattern. The panels were carefully fabricated and fitted to maintain pattern continuity and precise alignment, allowing the weaving to follow the geometry of the space.
